How is the Baby Bonus paid?

The baby bonus will be cut from $5400 to $5000 from September 2012, and frozen at that level for a further three years, until then the Baby Bonus is paid per eligible child in 13 fortnightly instalments. From 1 July 2011, customers eligible to receive Baby Bonus will get a higher first instalment of $879.77 and 12 fortnightly instalments of approximately $379.77. The higher first instalment of Baby Bonus will assist with the upfront costs of having a new child.

Hi, I've been trying to get pregnant for 7 months and for the first time my AF is late, so far only by a day but I can't help being excited. My husband says I shouldn't test for a week... c'mon, i normally test before AF is even due so i think i'll have to get one tomorrow!! It might just be because of stress cos I've been stressed out for the last three weeks but I really hope not. My nipples have been extremely painful for the past week. I normally get slightly sore nipples before AF but never this bad. Fingers crossed!!!

Well I did a home pregnancy test and it's negative but now I have people saying to me that I should wait until i'm at least 2 to 3 weeks late before I test??? Is this true? Well I honestly don't think I can wait that long, but I would prefer to wait to get a positive than wait for my AF!!! Has anyone else been told to wait til they are 3 weeks late before testing?

Hi,

It's rare to have any symptoms until at least a week after ovulation or embryo transfer. I have been told that you need to wait at least two weeks to ensure you are pregnant.

Well this morning I woke up half an hour earlier and couldn't get back to sleep. I got up, went to pee n when I wiped - WARNING THIS IS A BIT GROSS - There was some brown discharge. A fair bit of it but it seems to have gone now. Could it be AF?

There could be a variety of reasons for the brown discharge. I am not a doctor but I have heard a brown discharge is usually a sign of 'old blood', so you may not have anyhting to worry about. I have also read of instances where a brown discharge was around in the first 8 weeks and nine months later a baby boy was born (not me!). If you are concerned, I would go and see your GP. Good luck!

Hi i had a bit of the same thing just recently and was hoping it was an implant bleed, but sadly not to be AF finally arrived last week.

Hi Ladies, thought I might jump in and introduce myself too. My DF and I have just started TTC. I am only 2 DPO and now counting down. My cycle is only 23 days so I only have another 9 days to wait I think.
